FOR ONCE, FUNCTIONAL BASS PARTS! Every orchestral bass player has had to deal with less than legible "celli-bass" parts. Bass-ically Symphonic is producing carefully crafted bass - only parts . I was fortunate enough to have their edition of Beethoven's Fourth for a recent concert. Dynamics, measure numbers, rehearsal letters and bowings are all legible in a spiral bound edition made for easy reading. Accidentals are clearly marked. Tricky page turns and measures packed with tiny, black 16th notes are alleviated by judicious spacing. What a gift to those of us who play the BIG string instruments !
